YAY's website was outdated, insecure (running unsupported PHP), broken on mobile, and difficult for staff to maintain without paying external experts. It needed to meet provincial French Language Services requirements. These gaps did not provide the right signals to funders and partners. Most of all, updates were needed to reflect the immense impact YAY has on the youth and community it serves.
Ellen, Kablamo’s Senior Engineer, audited the full site in hours and got to work. PHP and plugins updated. Mobile layouts fixed. Navigation, social links, hero, footer, and imagery cleaned up. Instagram feed restored. COVID-era pages removed. WPML translation plugin added for full EN/FR bilingual compliance. Salesforce form integrations simplified so staff can manage them independently. Complexity stripped out. Working alongside YAY’s content leader, the refreshed website was launched fast.
A secure, bilingual, mobile-responsive site delivered in under three weeks. In the midst of a transformational journey, YAY now has a digital presence that reflects their ambition to advance and grow their impact. It provides inspiration to staff, mentors and their youth, and a signal of their new chapter. With a big campaign ahead to celebrate their 50th year of service, the website provides the right backing to engage with prospective partners and funders.
